Petchpoopan chasing his dream in Champion four man

Petchphoopan Sitaorchai gets the chance to achieve his dream on Saturday the 26th of January, when he fights in the Champion for man tournament at 63 kilos, alongside Dejpayak MTM Academy, Nueapayak Morrajaphatchiangrai and Petchmuenglum Sitkruupian. The sho will be broadcast live on Channel Now 26 from 18:25 onwards Thai time.

All four fighters in this weeks tournament have seen a strong run of form of late, especiallyPetchpoopan who recently switched over his training to Nor Anuwat gym, for stronger sparring and clinch partners in his shot at the belt. It wont be an easy task for Petchpoopan though with three other strong contenders in the mix, all desperate to take home the 50,000 baht prize. As usual the tournament is supported by four Ultimate fights, to give the semi-final winners a chance to rest before the final.

Loukman the latest Champion tournament winner
Loukman Muengpayalaewittaya schoolbecame the latest 'Champion' four-man tournament winner on Saturday the 8th of June, after beating Petchsornchai TR Insulation inthe final. Loukman instantly became favourite to take the tournament after he demolished Payaktamin Sitkrupian in the opening round of his semi-final fight, almost cutting Payaktamin in half with a vicious body kick to score an 8 count, before finishing him off with a barrage of shots as soon as the action was restarted. Petchsornchai had a tougher route to the final, having beaten Petchprakaew Nonglakkungpao in a gruelling 3 round battle. Loukman also had the edge psychologically with a previous points win over Petchsornchai and with the quickness of his semi-final fight compared to Petchsornchai's it was expected he would be a little too fresh for his opponent. Petchsornchai had other ideas though and looked strong in the first round as he landed with some heavy kicks and used his superior height to control the ring well. Petchsornchai looked strong at the start of the second round two, but it was as the round went on that the fans started to see the effects of his early fight seem to take their toll. Loukman started to look strong in the clinch and finished the round strong. In the final round Loukman looked strong from the off as he dominated the clinch and scored with strong knees. Petchsornchai dug deep towards the end of the round and came back at Loukman with some sharp punches and kicks, but it wasn't enough and Loukman took the decision and the 50,000 baht prize.
