It’s been almost four months since Maroan Hallal stepped into the Max Muay Thai ring. But on January 6, 2019, the Swiss fighter makes his return to take on Petchsairung Sitjaysairung.
Hallal had an impressive 2018, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about Western fighters at Max Muay Thai. He had dominant performances over Max veterans Namkabuan Kiatnavy, Sangchan Sor Sor Nawat, and Nawamin Tor Buamas.
Two of the only three loses he obtained were from the very experienced Jaowayha Sitnayoktang and the slick, technical fighter Kongthailand Kiatnavy.
Hallal is also dropping down in weight for this fight. He used to fight at 72 kilograms but will now meet Petchsairung at 69.5 kilograms.
Petchsairung Sitjaysairung is not the same caliber of fighter as some of Hallal’s previous opponents, but it will still be a challenge after being out the ring for so many months.
And if Hallal does win in dominant form, it’ll definitely shake things up in the 69.5 kilogram weight division.
